Retraction and apology

In a recent post made in relation to the University’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr John Patrick, I suggested that he had been forced into early retirement as a result of unhappiness over aspects of his performance which I discussed in the post. I accept that the suggestions made in the article were entirely incorrect and I withdraw them and apologise to Mr Patrick and the University over the matter.

    Chief operating officer appointed
    ….Otago University capital project unit manager Stephen Willis has been appointed chief operating officer, the university announced yesterday.
    Mr Willis began in his current position six months ago after working in management and property development at a health services company in Queensland.
