In a recent post made in relation to the University’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr John Patrick, I suggested that he had been forced into early retirement as a result of unhappiness over aspects of his performance which I discussed in the post. I accept that the suggestions made in the article were entirely incorrect and I withdraw them and apologise to Mr Patrick and the University over the matter.

Dunedin cycleway cost blowout
By Craig Borley
Building Dunedin’s cycleways could cost “three to four times” more per metre than first thought. That news was delivered to the Dunedin City Council’s infrastructure services committee this morning by the council’s infrastructure and networks general manager Ruth Stokes
The committee voted to continue with the rollout of the network, ensuring the design and finish were of the more expensive, higher quality option.
