One does question the stability of the StS committee with this many changes occurring in such a short time.

One would assume, in a committee that was stable and in harmony with each other, that there would never be this many changes.

  2. “One does question the stability of the StS committee with this many…”

    angry folk running the ship.

  3. Fliss

Who keeps donating to Butler? Heavens – don’t they watch Dancing with the Stars and learn about how to give to charities that actually do something?

  4. KGB

Surely you don’t think that we should all donate to next years ‘Fliss Butcher appeal’?

  5. I don’t want to be too rude KGB, but Fliss Butcher is an Anti-Stadium councillor, what the F is the beef with her from the StS.

Still with this sort of insanity going on in the minds of the anti brigade the more intelligent people within this community can feel safe and assured that come next election that the StS won’t be able to organise it’s way out of a paper bag.

She’s a bloody anti-stadium campaigner and you guys are going at her like she’s a number one pro stadium groupie here at What if…

I can see the headlines now “Bev Butler’s council bid papers lost… or they couldn’t afford to nominate anyone… or they turned on each other and have sent mass hate emails to each other and are now so confused as to not know who the hell to vote for”.

I don’t agree with Fliss on the stadium, but I sure as hell will be endorsing her for council. Just look at the state of the parks around the city, they are bloody fantastic now, and that’s no small thanks to Fliss and her colleagues. Cheers Fliss my boys love the Flying Fox!!!!

Must have missed something – can’t remember seeing any “anti stadium” person going ‘at’ Fliss Butcher. However, Fliss Butcher seems to be having a ‘go’ at Bev Butler, and previously at Calvin Oaten.

Personally, I would rather see people argue the issues, rather than call people names.

Amusing headlines Paul, sadly I think you may be right.

  7. Jody, lets just say there is a mountain of unpublished (and unpublishable) material that the public hopefully will never see.

I hope that the more sane members of the Anti-Stadium loby have been successful in making the CST and the councils work harder at crossing the t’s and dotting the i’s. Public dissent is a good thing if it makes people question and check the facts and figures. For this the city has some intelligent and sane ‘anti’ folk to thank.

Elizabeth, are you assuming STS have given up the Judicial Review – or has this been confirmed? (Damn if they have! I was really hoping this would pan out – in which case I hope the rumor about the injunction is correct!!)

    Hi Paul
    I’m sure your F wasn’t meaning Fliss.
If Fliss wants answers she’ll ask me herself
If I wanted to be as polite as yourself I’d tell you to piss off.

  10. There is somewhat of a confusion around the stutter in m-m-my generation, turns out it was the frustration of a young man trying to yell above the collective brain washed citizens of early 1960s Britain.

Once again The Who comes to my aide.

So Fliss, a prominent and vocal Anti-Stadium councillor will be invited by the StS to speak at the next meeting, and will be on Christmas Card lists again, thanking her for her continual hard work and opposition to this morally repugnant development by the old boys network? After all she is actually on the inside doing the hard work, where other councillors failed to be elected on Anti-Stadium platforms Fliss has been fighting the good work of the Anti-Stadium lobby from the inside.

Fliss, reserve another spot on that mantle of yours for a nice big StS xmas card, they love you!
